Champions of Freedom

Part three of "The Spreading Flame" turns the focus first to Scotland where persecution drove many men and women from their homeland. Change came with John Knox, a man prepared to battle until men and woman, freely born, could freely worship. In Switzerland an equally courageous battle was fought by Zwingly, changing the Alpine country to one of the brightest lights of the Reformation, paving the way for Calvin.
