November Noon offers a series of reflective chapters on deepening one's spiritual life through use of the psalms, poetry, and sacred scripture while challenging the reader to a new understanding of justice issues for the 21st century.
November Noon invites the reader into a gradually deepening consideration of the spiritual life, beginning with a consideration of living faithfully (developing the virtues of faith, hope, and charity in a contemporary context); living justly (exploring current issues of justice, women, and earth stewardship); and living more deeply (challenging readers to allow themselves to be drawn to a deeper personal relationship with the God who calls us). Within these three major sections, texts from scripture and from familiar poets are selected to match the moments of life experience, allowing the mature reader to realize that she or he is not alone in facing the challenging moments of later life.
