It all started in an old bookstore in downtown Boston. There I picked up a book called "A Doctor at Calvary". It was a story that a French surgeon, Dr. Pierre Barbet had written, and the only reason I picked it up was that I was then in pre-med, and I thought it would be the surgeon's version of Jesus' crucifi xion. But it was more than that. It was about Jesus' burial cloth of which I had never heard. Seventeen years later, just as I started to read the Boston Sunday Globe, I saw the picture of this same cloth, the Shroud of Turin. It was 1978 and it was then, as a young physician that
I began this pursuit as a young skeptic, always seeking the truth. And in the end, I came to an astonishing realization. It took a lifetime. For all who wonder if there is a God at work, if there is a spiritual world, if there is everlasting life, if there is a God who is true, keep wondering and keep reading.
