Read, Mark, Learn is a small group Bible study course that aims to equip people to study God's word for themselves and, through it, know his purpose for their lives.
It studies whole books of the Bible in the belief that as God's word is taught in context, so his voice is heard. The particular course is made up of 30 studies from John's Gospel, and provides notes for group leaders to base their studies on.
Each study provides:
- the context, aim and structure of the passage
- Old Testament background
- the meaning of each part of the passage, highlighting key issues
- practical applications
- suggested question for leading a study
A separate section at the back of the book gives questions that can be photocopied for group members to prepare before each study, so that they are equipped to make the most of the course.
Read, Mark, Learn has been developed over a number of years by one of London's leading churches, St Helen, Bishopsgate, and is used by numerous churches nationally and internationally.
