Rev. Anderson writes that "each of Paul's letters] addresses particular issues and arguments within the community to whom he was writing." Though Rome and Galatia have distinct differences, the themes and arguments that are found within them are similar. The primary argument that is addressed by Paul in his letters is how to assimilate the Old and New covenants. Paul's missionary journeys took him outside of the walls of Jerusalem, and helped to spread the good news to many Gentile communities.
The Liguori Catholic Bible Study with Lectio Divina is a series of 21 books introducing and studying each and every book of the Bible, designed to be completed in 8 to 10 weeks, a convenient commitment for many busy parishioners. Review questions at the end of group and individual studies in each section facilitate discussion and allow for deeper consideration, with the optional spiritual exercise of praying with Scripture using the ancient method of lectio divina included in each study book.
