Caleb would do anything for his elderly neighbor, Edna, as she had no family in the district. After he dissolved his construction company, she had kindly offered her acreage to farm. Sowing and harvesting keeps his hands occupied, and, more importantly, gives him alone time--a place to hide. So, when she says there's a package to pick up in town, he hitches up his buggy. But the package is a little more than he bargains for.
Jonica had no plans to return to Posen, Michigan, after she and her parents moved up north. But when her parents die in a car accident, she is forced to return with her five-year-old son to take care of some old family property.
