What does it mean for someone to be saved Can someone every lose his salvation Why is church important What is the purpose of being regularly involved in church?
Every world religion tries to answer the question of what's wrong with the human condition and tries to offer a solution, essentially asserting their own version of what it means to be saved or made right with God. Of course, most religions' solutions focus on good deeds. They say if we behave a certain way and persist in a lifestyle of good works, then all will be well for us in the end.
Unlike the world religions, Christianity's answer doesn't involve earning God's favor and grace through good works. Instead, it teaches something radically different: God's grace through the work of Jesus on our behalf.
In Volume 5 of Milestones, we explore questions surrounding the doctrine of salvation, as well as questions surrounding the doctrine of the church. Over the course of eight sessions, students will:
- uncover key theological truths about salvation and the church.
- unpack why those truths are important.
- discover ways to engage their community and culture in light of them.
It is our hope that by going through this volume, students will grow in their personal knowledge and understanding of God and His bride, the church. We also hope God will use this study to equip another generation to boldly proclaim the truth about who Jesus is and the message of hope He has provided through the gospel to a world that desperately needs it.
