Who is Jesus? Did He really perform miracles What was His message? Did He really rise from the dead Does Christianity affirm Jesus' divinity?
Jesus remains a culturally significant figure even 2,000 years after His time on earth. People from all walks of like are attracted to the way Jesus engaged with political authorities or are drawn to His ethic about treating others the way we desire to be treated. Most world religions even recognize Jesus as a prophet and great teacher. Yet, while it's nice for people to recognize and appreciate certain aspects of Jesus' life and teaching, the reality is that Jesus is more than a good teacher. In fact, according to the most credible historical documents that recount Jesus' life here on earth, Jesus is the long-awaited, divine Son of Man foreshadowed throughout the Old Testament.
In Volume 2 of Milestones, we explore questions surrounding the person, character, and mission of Jesus as reveled in Scripture. Over the course of eight sessions, students will:
- uncover key theological truths about Jesus.
- unpack why those truths are important.
- discover ways to engage their community and culture in light of them.
It is our hope that by going through this volume, students will grow in their personal knowledge and understanding of God and His world. We also hope God will use this study to equip another generation to boldly proclaim the truth about who Jesus is and the message of hope He has provided through the gospel to a world that desperately needs it.
